Use of Learning Pod 1 (a dedicated space for assistive technologies) is on a first-come-first-served basis for users with special needs.
The Bookmark Café serves beverages and snacks at affordable prices. Users can relax over a cup of freshly-brewed coffee or tea while holding their discussion.
Group discussion roomGroup Discussion Room
Groups must have at least 3 members to use the room. Bookings may be made at the Service Point, by phone or by using designated WebOPAC terminals at Level 2.
Furnished with comfortable sofas and coffee tables, the Lounge can easily accommodate small groups of 6-7 people. You can also catch up on the latest news using mobile apps in each of the four tablets available.
LearningHub@LIBRISLearningHub @ NIE Library
The LearningHub provides a conducive environment to promote a collaborative learning culture in NIE. It includes the LearningHub Lounge, SMART Room, Staff Lounge and Café.
Learning podsLearning Pods
Each of the four Pods can comfortably seat up to six students. The Pods are equipped with large display screens and glass writing surfaces for group discussions or mock presentations.
Printers Photocopying & Printing Services
Integrated photocopying and printing services are available in the Reserves section (NIE4-02-10), at the extreme end of the Right Wing of the Library on Level 2 (NIE4-02-07) & Level 4 (NIE4-04-01).

This private viewing room is open to library members for the viewing of media materials.

Users may borrow items at any of the four self-check machines during Library hours.
Research CommonsResearch Commons
The Research Commons supports access to scholarly information, and collaborative learning with the provision of 16 workstations.
Staff Lounge
The Staff Lounge is a quiet corner set aside for staff discussion or brainstorming over a cup of coffee. This is a distraction-free, quiet oasis for reading & reflection.
The SMART (Sharing, Multidisciplinary, Autonomous, Reflective and Technology-enabled) Room is a soundproof environment with modular furniture which may be rearranged to facilitate group work.
Video Recording Facilities
There are 3 video recording facilities available. Users can record all images and sound from the computer screen such as presentation slides and videos, plus a small thumbnail of the presenter including their voice and gestures.
24-hour Self-Collection Service
The 24-hour self-collection service is available to all library members for collection of reserved items. Reserved items ready for pick up may be collected from the self-service SMART Locker anytime.
