(Duration: 1.5 - 2 hours)

The workshops cover the use of EndNote, a bibliographic management software tool. They are conducted in groups for academic staff, students or student teachers. Participants will learn how to organise their references and images by creating libraries, and how to add references to these libraries both manually and by using the EndNote export function. They will also learn how to create instant bibliographies and to format them using Cite While You Write tools. More information about EndNote and its download link may be found here.

  • Downloading and installing
  • Cite While You Write (CWYW) tools
  • Creating a library
  • Adding references manually

Optional Topics:  (workshops may be customised to include advanced topics)

  • Importing references from databases
  • Importing references from library catalogues

Prerequisites: Ability to construct search statements using Boolean operators and perform database searches
